About us

Firstly, why Gymnastics?
Gymnastics enables children improve and build their awareness on a social level, physical level, linguistically, intellectually, creatively and emotionally and improve communication skills, confidence and competence.

We pride ourselves on encouraging our 3 F’s, Fun, Friendships and Fitness.

  • Fun – Children love turning themselves, going upside down, swinging, running, jumping and rolling. All whilst fuelling their imagination and creativity through our themed sessions.
  • Friendships – having fun with friends and of course making new ones.
  • Fitness – Keeping active is good for our mind and our body. We are born to move.

Who are we? With over 22 years of gymnastics coaching experience, working with children of all ages all the way up to adults. Our staff have experience working with children and young adults with additional needs. We decided to put our experience to better use and start our own club. Acorn Gymnastics was established in 2021, we are concentrating on Preschool classes held in Cheadle Hulme near Stockport. We will be running sessions in some nurseries in the area soon too as well as recreational sessions for Primary aged children. Watch this space.

All coaches are required to have the following:

  • A valid DBS certificate
  • Safeguarding certificate
  • British Gymnastics membership
  • The relevant level of British Gymnastics coaching qualifications
  • British Gymnastics Disability add on module, which can include BSL level 1.
  • Emergency first aid certificate
  • Gone through our Acorn Gymnastics training programme before being in charge of a session.

Everyone should have access to the sport they want to do, if you have any questions or requirements please get in touch with us.
